AHA Predoctoral Fellowship 2025
Jieying was awarded the American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship for her project “Defining a blood-ganglion barrier in the peripheral nervous system.”
AHA aims to “enhance the integrated research and clinical training of promising students who are matriculated in pre-doctoral or clinical health professional degree training programs and who intend careers as scientists, physicianscientists or other clinician-scientists, or related careers aimed at improving global cardiovascular, cerebrovascular and brain health. Within this award, additional collaboration money has been designated through the AHA/CHF Congenital Heart Defect Research Awards, Autism Speaks, the Barth Syndrome Foundation and the California Walnut Commission” (AHA, 2024).
